WWD Collections Trend Report

The WWD Collections Book recently highlighted their picks for the top trends seen on the runways this year. Filled with photos from the world's top designers, including Balenciaga, Chanel, Donna Karan, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Missoni, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, and Versace, the piece featured the spectrum of looks shown within each trend.

GO PRIMAL with animal prints, wild patterns, and vibrantly natural tones. These brushed 18k yellow gold pieces reflect the organic shapes and patterns of wilderness.

VISUAL EFFECTS made for amazing runways, filled with mesmerizing patterns and bold color pairings. These unique pieces incorporate graphical elements into fine jewelry.

WHITE NOISE could be heard on the runway as fashion designers showed pure white designs. White is no longer reserved for pearls - find exciting new timepieces featuring white PVD and rubber, and earrings in mother-of-pearl and brilliant diamonds.

BARE CONDITIONING shows the power of blank space. Sometimes it's what's not there that will make heads turn. Keyhole cutouts on dresses, and graphic cutouts or chains in jewelry, are a perfect demonstration of this notion!

PILE IT ON to create a multi-layered, texturally complete look. This trend includes the mixing of fabrics, and a general 'anything (and everything) goes' attitude. The mix of colors and cuts of semi-precious gemstones on this bracelet are perfectly paired for this look. Wear with an oversized cocktail ring to enhance the overall look.

BOUDOIR FAIRE was a force on the runways as many designers showed their lingerie, and lingerie-inspired clothing lines. These feminine pieces are the perfect complement to the lacy, silky fabrics of bedroom-inspired clothing.

The 28th Annual Princeton Trade Fair and Culinary Showcase on September 29th featured some of the area's most prominent businesses and restaurants. The show was a unique opportunity for local residents and businesses to make new connections and work together to maintain Princeton's reputation as both a traveler's destination and a great place to live and work.
